Ingest your website or Notion into the knowledge base

Last updated 22 July 2026

You don't have to write the knowledge base by hand — point the bot at content you already have.

Crawl your website

On Chat → Knowledge, use Import from your website: paste a starting URL (like your help center) and we crawl same-site pages, turn each into a published article, and index it. It runs in the background — you'll see the job's progress and how many articles it created.

Sync Notion

Create a Notion internal integration, share your knowledge database or page with it, and trigger a sync via the API (POST /api/v1/knowledge/ingest with the integration token and the database/page id) or ask the AI assistant to "sync my Notion knowledge base". Pages become published articles, and re-syncing updates them in place — your token is encrypted at rest and never logged.

Keep it fresh

Re-run an ingestion any time to pick up changes; articles are matched by their source URL or Notion page id, so nothing duplicates. Crawled and synced articles feed the bot's answers but aren't shown in the widget Help tab by default — flip Show in widget on the ones you want visitors to browse.
