About Solstral

What Solstral is, and who operates it

Solstral is a web-based customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing platform, and a product of Adcrayons — the business that operates it. Solstral is published at solstral.com, with the application at app.solstral.com. Businesses subscribe to Solstral to manage contacts and deals, send email marketing, automate follow-up and handle customer conversations on one platform.

This page describes the social engagement features: a subscribing business connects social accounts it owns — its Instagram professional account, its Facebook Page, its Threads profile, its WhatsApp Business number — and Solstral brings the comments and messages sent to those accounts into that business's own inbox so its team can respond. Everything below sets out exactly what data we receive, why we need it, how long we keep it and how to delete it. It is a public page — no sign-in is required to read it. Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and sub-processor list describe our data practices in full.

One inbox for every channel

Instagram and Facebook messages, WhatsApp threads and post comments arrive next to email and website chat in the same queue, so a customer who switches channel doesn't become a stranger.

Every conversation on the record

Each conversation is matched to the contact, company and deal it belongs to, so whoever picks it up sees the full history instead of a message with no context.

Inside the platforms' rules

Every connection uses the platform's official API. Messaging-window rules are enforced for you, automated replies disclose themselves and always offer a human, and a kill switch stops automation instantly.

What the social integration does

  • Connect Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads and WhatsApp Business through each platform's official login and consent screen
  • Receive direct messages and comments sent to the business's own connected accounts
  • Reply from a shared team inbox, with assignment, internal notes and full CRM context
  • Match each conversation to the contact, company and deal it belongs to
  • Comment-to-DM rules: a keyword comment on the business's post triggers a private reply
  • WhatsApp and Messenger sending that respects the 24-hour customer-care window and uses approved templates outside it
  • Automated-experience disclosure and human handoff on by default; per-account caps, quiet hours and a kill switch
  • Disconnect any account at any time from Settings → Social accounts

Your data, handled transparently

What Meta Platform Data Solstral uses, and why

We request the minimum permissions each feature needs, use the data only to deliver the features on this page to the business that connected the account, and only for as long as that connection stays in place. Here is precisely what that means, platform by platform.

Instagram

A business connects its own Instagram professional account. We receive direct messages and comments people send to that account so the business's team can read and reply to them in Solstral, and so a keyword comment on the business's own post can trigger a private reply.

Permissions requested: instagram_business_basic (identify the connected account), instagram_business_manage_messages (receive and send that account's DMs), instagram_business_manage_comments (read and reply to comments on that account's own posts).

Facebook Pages and Messenger

A business connects a Facebook Page it manages. We receive Messenger conversations and comments on that Page's posts, show them in the shared inbox, and send the replies the business's team writes or the rules it configures.

Permissions requested: pages_show_list (let the admin choose which Page to connect), pages_read_engagement and pages_manage_engagement (read and reply to comments on that Page's posts), pages_messaging (receive and send that Page's Messenger conversations).

WhatsApp Business

A business connects its own WhatsApp Business account and phone number. Customer messages arrive in the shared inbox and the team replies from there — free-form inside the 24-hour customer-care window, and using templates the business has had approved outside it.

Permissions requested: whatsapp_business_messaging (receive and send messages for the connected number), whatsapp_business_management and business_management (read the account's phone numbers and message templates during setup).

Threads

A business connects its own Threads profile to find public posts relevant to it and reply to them. Every reply is drafted for a person to review and is only published after someone at the business approves it.

Permissions requested: threads_basic (identify the connected profile), threads_keyword_search, threads_profile_discovery and threads_read_replies (find relevant public posts and replies), threads_content_publish and threads_manage_replies (publish the approved reply from the business's own profile).

Solstral's access to and use of information received from Meta's APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including their limits on how Platform Data may be used, shared and retained. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Limits we hold ourselves to

What we never do with Platform Data

Never sold, never brokered

We do not sell Platform Data, do not license or broker it, and do not share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers listed in our sub-processors page that are needed to run the service.

Never for advertising or profiling

We do not use Platform Data for advertising, ad targeting, audience building, credit or eligibility decisions, or to build profiles of people beyond the customer record the connecting business already keeps. We do not use it to train machine-learning models.

Only ever for the business that connected

Each business's data is isolated to its own workspace. One customer's messages are never visible to another, and we never contact a business's followers or customers ourselves.

Retention and deletion

Disconnecting, and deleting your data

A business stays in control of the connection and of everything it produces. There are three ways to end it, and none of them require talking to us first.

  1. 1. Disconnect the account. In Solstral, go to Settings → Social accounts and disconnect. Solstral stops receiving messages and comments from that account immediately and sends nothing further from it. You can also revoke access from the platform's own settings — Instagram's apps and websites settings, Facebook's business integrations, or Meta Business Manager.
  2. 2. Delete the conversations. Conversations and their history live in your workspace and can be deleted there by an admin at any time.
  3. 3. Ask us to erase everything. Email hello@solstral.com from the address on the account, telling us which connected account to erase. We confirm and complete deletion within 30 days, including stored access tokens. If your details appear in a Solstral customer's workspace and you are not that customer, contact the business you were messaging — they control that data and we will assist them with your request.

When a workspace is terminated, all of its data — including social conversations and tokens — is deleted within 30 days, and backups age out on a rolling schedule of no more than 35 days. The full statement is in section 11 of our Privacy Policy.

Questions

Social data, in plain terms

What is Solstral?

Solstral is a web-based customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing platform, built and operated in Australia by Adcrayons (adcrayons.com) — Solstral is the product name, Adcrayons is the business behind it. Businesses subscribe to Solstral to manage their contacts, deals, email marketing and customer conversations in one place. The social features described on this page are one part of that platform.

Whose accounts get connected?

Only accounts the subscribing business owns or administers. An admin at that business connects its own Instagram professional account, Facebook Page, Threads profile or WhatsApp Business number through Meta's standard login and consent screens. We never connect an account on someone else's behalf and we never ask for anyone's password.

What do you do with the messages and comments you receive?

We show them to the connecting business's own team in a shared inbox, attach them to that person's record in the CRM so the team can see the history, and send the replies the team writes. Where the business has configured rules — for example an automatic private reply to someone who comments a keyword on its post — we send those replies too, from the business's own account.

Do automated replies disclose that they are automated?

Yes. Automated-experience disclosure is on by default, every automated conversation offers a handoff to a human on the business's team, and the business can pause automation at any time with a kill switch. Automation stays inside Meta's messaging-window rules: free-form only inside the customer-care window, approved templates outside it.

Where is the data stored, and for how long?

In Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens are additionally encrypted with a dedicated key and are never logged in plaintext. Conversation history is kept while the business keeps it in its workspace, and is deleted within 30 days of the workspace being terminated.

How does a business disconnect or delete its data?

Disconnecting an account in Settings → Social accounts stops Solstral receiving anything further from it, and access can also be revoked from Instagram, Facebook or Business Manager directly. Stored conversations can be deleted in the app, or in full by emailing hello@solstral.com — we complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Every conversation, on the record

Connect the accounts you already own and let comments and DMs land where the customer's history already lives.
