Train your AI chatbot

A bot answers from what you give it under Chat → Knowledge — nothing else.

1. Write quick answers

Under Knowledge, Add → Quick answer holds short question-and-answer pairs. They're matched word-for-word (with the alternative phrasings you add) before any AI runs, so they're instant, exact and free. Start with the five questions you get most.

2. Add articles

Add → Article holds longer pieces the bot reads and answers from. Write them, or import your website. Publish an article to make it answerable.

3. Create the bot

On Chat → Bots, press New bot. Give it a photo and a name visitors see, and write short instructions for its tone. Under What it answers from, leave it on Everything in Answers unless it should stay on one subject.

4. Put it on a widget

Open your widget (Chat → Widgets), go to Answering, and choose who answers: the bot, your team, or both. Try it in the live preview on the right — it answers for real.

5. Fill the gaps

Once people use it, Knowledge → Gaps lists what the bot couldn't answer, most-asked first. Write an FAQ answer opens a new quick answer with the question already filled in. Writing answers for the top few is the fastest way to make it better, and owners and admins get the week's top few every Monday.

6. Test it

Write down the questions it must keep answering under Knowledge → Tests, so a later edit can't quietly break them. See Test your bot.
