Contact data from your own Apollo, Hunter, People Data Labs or Clay

Last updated 16 October 2026

Solstral doesn't sell contact data. If your company already pays for Apollo, Hunter, People Data Labs or Clay, connect it and Solstral uses it for you: you stay the controller of the data and the provider bills you directly.

1. Add your key

An admin opens Settings ▸ Contact data, picks a provider, pastes its API key and presses Save and check. The key is sealed on our side and never shown again (only its last four characters). Add as many as you like and put them in order with the arrows: that order is the waterfall.

2. Look someone up

On a person or a company, press Look up in the Contact data panel. Solstral asks your first provider, then the next, and stops at the first answer the provider vouches for (a verified email, a company matched by its website, a high match score). It also uses two free sources: the company's website as Solstral has already read it, and the title and phone in the person's email signature. What it finds waits in the panel with the provider, the date and how sure it is.

3. Fill in

Tick the values you want and press Fill in. Only empty fields are filled. If a provider disagrees with what the record already says (a different phone, say), it is shown under Disagrees with the record and never applied: what someone typed stays.

Many at once

Select records in a list and press Look up contact data. It runs in the background, and what it finds waits under Contact data to review (search for it with Cmd-K), where you can fill in each record or all of them.

Find people

With an Apollo key, a company's Contact data panel has Find people: give job titles (and the companies' websites) and the people found wait in Capture as suggestions. The search costs no Apollo credits; adding someone from Capture looks up their email, which costs one.

Clay

Add a Webhook source to a Clay table and paste its address (it starts https://api.clay.com/) under Contact data. Send to Clay on a record sends it to the table. To bring the results back, add an HTTP API column in Clay that posts to /api/v1/enrichment with an API key from Settings ▸ API & webhooks: the record's id and the values by name (title, phone, email, linkedin; for a company name, industry, employees, description). They wait for review like any other.
