Publish a help centre on your site

Last updated 22 October 2026

The articles you write for your chat bot can also be a public help centre on one of your sites. (It is being switched on with collections, workspace by workspace.)

1. Choose what it shows

On the site's Settings tab, open Help centre (the owner and admins see it). Tick the knowledge bases it shows: only published articles in those bases appear on the site. Everything else, including bases you keep for the bot alone, stays private. Under The Ask box, choose the bot that answers visitors' questions, or none.

2. Add it

Press Add a help centre. It adds four draft pages at /help (or /support if you already use /help): the home with a search box, a topic for each knowledge base and the latest articles; the article page every article uses; a topic's page; and the search results. Style them in the builder like any page, then publish them.

What visitors get

  • An address for each article, like /help/reset-your-password-k3j9xa2b. Renaming an article keeps its old address working.
  • Topics: each knowledge base is a topic, with its own page.
  • Search across the help centre's articles.
  • An Ask box: your bot answers from the articles it reads and links to the ones the help centre shows. Each question uses one AI credit.
  • Was this helpful? under each article.

Learning from it

Questions the Ask box couldn't answer appear on the Gaps page and in your weekly AI report, next to the bot's, so you know what to write next. Articles and their topics are in your site's sitemap.xml.

To stop publishing it, press Stop publishing it in the same place: the articles disappear from the site at once, and the pages stay as drafts.
