Extra workspaces are now a plan you pick - and two tabs finally work
One login has opened several workspaces for a little while now.
One login has opened several workspaces for a little while now. Three things about that were wrong, and all three are fixed.
An extra workspace is a purchase, and you choose the plan
Creating a second workspace from the switcher used to drop it on the Free plan. That is a strange thing to hand somebody who already pays you, and a stranger thing to leave lying around: a new workspace is a fresh set of free limits, and nothing stopped anyone collecting them.
Now Create workspace opens a page that shows the same plans the pricing page sells, and you choose one. Monthly or annual, side by side, with the limits that actually differ between them. Free is not on the list - an additional workspace is something you buy.
Because the plan is charged for up front, the workspace is not created until the payment goes through. There is no half-made CRM sitting on the wrong plan waiting for an upgrade nudge, and no read-only shell you cannot even set up.
Your card is already on file, so we do not ask for it again
Billing details belong to the person paying, not to one of their CRMs. Your card, billing address and tax number now sit with your account and every workspace you pay for bills against them - so a second workspace is a confirm step rather than a second card form. Each workspace keeps its own subscription and its own invoices, and can be cancelled on its own.
Trials are counted per person. If you have had one, your next workspace starts on the paid plan immediately - you have already seen what the trial was for.
Two tabs, two workspaces, both correct
Until now the workspace you were in belonged to the session, so switching in one tab quietly moved every other tab with it. We used to catch that with a warning that stopped the stale tab. The warning is gone, and so is the reason for it: each tab now acts in the workspace it is showing, whatever the others are doing. Open one client in one tab and another next to it.
Invoices arrive as invoices
Payment receipts now carry the invoice PDF as an attachment, plus a link that opens it without signing in - so whoever files them does not need a CRM login to do it.
