Who turned up: meetings settled by the call

Last updated 16 October 2026

A meeting that has ended used to be marked held on the assumption that it happened. When the call is on Zoom (your Zoom connected under Settings ▸ Calendar, and the meeting booked with a Zoom link), Zoom now tells Solstral who joined and when.

What it decides

  • You and the booker both joined: the meeting is held, settled by the call.
  • You joined and the booker never did: a no-show, fifteen minutes after the meeting's end.
  • Zoom never saw you join (you used another account, say): Solstral doesn't guess from the call, and the meeting is marked held as before, saying it was assumed.

The meeting's panel shows who joined, when and for how long, and how it was settled. You can still mark a meeting held or a no-show yourself.

In flows

The meeting held and no-show triggers now carry how the meeting was settled (by the call, by the host or assumed) and when each of you joined, so a no-show follow-up goes only to people who really didn't come.

Google Meet and Teams

Google Meet and Microsoft Teams don't tell Solstral during the call, so Solstral asks them afterwards, through your own calendar connection. Under Settings ▸ Calendar, press Allow Solstral to read who joined under your Google or Microsoft calendar and agree on Google's or Microsoft's screen: that asks for read-only access to your meetings' attendance and transcripts, and nothing else. From then on, between ten minutes and a few hours after a Meet or Teams meeting booked through Solstral ends, it is settled the same way as a Zoom call. If the meeting had already been marked held by assumption and the call shows the booker never came, it becomes a no-show.

  • Teams needs a work or school Microsoft account, and your organisation's administrator may need to approve Solstral once.
  • Meet reads attendance from your own Google account, so you need to have joined with the account your calendar is connected with.
