A chat bot that finds the right answer more often, and a way to test it

Your website chat bot got better at finding answers, and you can now check it keeps finding them.

• Better search. The bot now searches your knowledge by meaning and by the exact words a visitor uses, and merges the two. On our test set it put the right article first 90% of the time, against 57% before.
• Test your bot. Under Chat, Knowledge, Tests, write down the questions your customers ask and which article answers each, what the answer must say, or both. They run again whenever your knowledge changes, and admins are told if one that passed now fails.
• Checked before you save. Editing an article now checks your test questions first, and names any the change would break before anything is saved.
• What the bot read, in your Inbox. Under every bot answer, a line says how it answered (a quick answer, from your articles, or why it handed over) and names every article it read, internal ones included.
