Schedule posts, build a queue and set up approvals

1. Write the post
Click New post (or double-click a day in the calendar to start there). Pick the accounts to publish to, write your copy once, and add images from your Content Library or by uploading. The order you add images is the order they appear in a carousel, so it is worth getting right.
As you type, Solstral checks the post against each platform's actual rules and shows you any problems: copy over the character limit, too many images, or a format the platform does not support. Instagram cannot post text on its own, so a post without an image will be flagged before you can schedule it rather than failing later.
2. Tailor it per platform
With more than one account selected, open Tweak the copy per platform to give any of them its own version — a short punchy line for X, a longer one for Facebook. Leave a platform empty and it uses the main copy. The preview panel on the right switches between platforms so you can see each one before it goes out.
3. Choose when
You have four options. Save draft keeps it without scheduling. Schedule publishes at the date and time you pick. Publish now sends it at the next engine tick, usually within a minute. Add to queue drops it into the next free slot in a posting queue.
4. Build a posting queue
A queue is a weekly pattern of times — say Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9am. Create one on the Queues & approvals tab, choosing the timezone and the slots. After that, "Add to queue" finds the next slot nothing else is using, so keeping a cadence stops being a daily decision. Free slots are ghosted into the calendar, so gaps in your rhythm are visible at a glance.
5. Approvals
If your workspace requires approval, a post composed by a team member lands in Waiting for approval and cannot be scheduled until an admin approves it. Editing an already-approved post sends it back for approval — otherwise approving and then rewriting would sidestep the check entirely.
Two things worth knowing
Daily limits are handled for you. Instagram allows 100 published posts per rolling 24 hours and Threads 250. If you hit one, Solstral waits and publishes when the window frees up rather than failing the post.
X charges per post. Since February 2026, X bills for every post published through its API — and considerably more when the post contains a link. The composer shows the cost before you schedule, and copy longer than 280 characters becomes a thread, with each part billed separately.
