Connect a social account and set up comment-to-DM

Solstral works your social channels from the Engage → Social area.
1. Connect an account
On the Accounts tab, click Connect for Instagram, Facebook, X or Threads and approve access. Instagram and Facebook power comment-to-DM and DM chatbots; X and Threads power the creator engagement engine.
2. Comment-to-DM rules
On Comment automations, create a rule: pick an account, add keywords (like LINK), and write the DM to send — use {{first_name}} and {{post_url}} for personalisation. When someone comments a matching keyword on your post, we send them one private message (Meta allows one reply per comment) and open the conversation in your inbox.
3. The engagement engine (X & Threads)
On Targets, add creators or keywords whose audience matches yours. The engine finds new posts, drafts an on-brand comment with AI, and — with approval mode on — parks it in the Queue for you to approve, edit or reject. Human-like caps, spacing and a sensitive-content skip keep it safe.
4. Safety settings
Each account has a daily comment cap, minimum spacing, active-hours window, tone, banned words, an approval toggle and a kill switch that instantly pauses everything. Approval mode is forced on for the first week of any account.
5. Finding a rule later
Once you have more than a handful of automations, use the search box above the rule list to find one by its name, one of its keywords or the text of its reply, and the two dropdowns beside it to narrow by channel or by what the rule does (reply to the comment, or comment to DM).
6. Disconnecting an account
Disconnect hands back Solstral's access. Everything stays — posts, comments and conversations — and any comment automations on that account stop running until you reconnect, at which point they start again by themselves. Remove is different and only offered once an account is already disconnected: it deletes Solstral's record of the account, and its comment automations and post history go with it. Both confirmations list the automations by name before you commit.
7. When analytics look empty
Networks take up to an hour or so to report the first figures on a new post, and some report nothing at all for a very low-reach post. If numbers are still missing after that, the Analytics tab now says why in plain language — most often that the connection needs reconnecting to grant the insights permission, which is a one-click fix on the Accounts tab.
