Turn a goal into a program

Last updated 15 October 2026

A program is everything working toward one goal, as one thing: who it works on, a first email, a holdout that shows what it caused, and an assistant task that helps. You approve it once, and you can pause, stop or undo all of it with one button.

1. Plan it

In Reporting → Goals, open a goal's menu and choose Plan a program… (admins). Solstral works out a plan from what your workspace already has: your biggest list of people you can email, a short first email (with your booking link for a meetings goal), a 10% holdout measured on what the goal counts, and the assistant task that works the same goal. Each step says why it is there, and anything it can't do is said plainly, such as having no list yet. Nothing is made yet. You can also ask the assistant to plan one.

2. Check the rehearsal and approve

The Rehearsed line says how many people would be emailed, how many are held back to measure the result, and how many your contact limits would hold for now. Press Approve and start: the draft email, the holdout and the task are made in one go. The email stays a draft until it is scheduled; a task it sets up starts paused.

3. Set the limits

Under Budget and limits: AI credits a month, emails a week, the most emails one person gets from it in a week (added to your contact policy, never loosening it), and how far it may act on its own: Suggest only, Draft for you, Act with your approval or Act within the budget.

4. The weekly review

Once a week (or when you press Review now) it reads the goal's pace and the holdout's result. It pauses sending when a budget is used up, at any setting. It stops an email the holdout shows is doing harm, offers to send a draft that has waited a week, drafts a follow-up when the goal is behind but the email is working, and suggests turning on a paused task when nothing is working after three weeks. Whatever it may not do on its own waits for you: Do it, Dismiss, or Undo afterwards.

Pause, stop and undo

Pause stops its email (a scheduled one goes back to a draft) and pauses the tasks it set up. Stop ends it for good. Undo removes everything it made, but only before it has sent anything: a sent email can't be taken back. Deleting the goal stops its program.
