Undo something an assistant task did

Last updated 15 October 2026

Every change an assistant task makes is written down with the exact way to reverse it.

1. Find the change

Open Assistant tasks and look at the log of the task, or of the run. Each line says what changed, on which record, and why.

2. Press Undo

Undo puts back exactly what the task changed, all of it together: if Lead triage set a lead's tier and its owner in one go, undo clears both. It doesn't touch anything else on the record.

When undo says no

  • Someone changed it since. Undo checks the record first and refuses if a person has edited it after the task did, so it never throws away later work. Change it by hand instead.
  • It can't be taken back. An email that was sent can't be recalled, and the log says so. A campaign the task scheduled can be unscheduled with one click until it starts sending.

Stop it happening again

Move the task back to Propose only, or pause it, from its card. Drafts it left for you can simply be left unsent.
