Saved sections: reuse a header, footer or promo across emails

Last updated 15 September 2026

A saved section is a named piece of an email — a branded header, a social strip, a “meet the team” row — that lives in your workspace rather than in one email.

Save a section

  1. In the email builder, hover the block you want to keep. To keep several blocks together, first drag in a 1 column block and put them inside it.
  2. Click the bookmark button on the block’s toolbar and give it a name.
  3. Choose whether to replace the block with a linked copy, so later edits to the section show up in this email too.

Add a section to an email

Saved sections are listed under the content blocks on the left of the builder. Drag one onto the email (or click it) and pick:

  • Link — stays in sync. Edit the section once and every draft and template that links it updates.
  • Copy — an independent copy. Later changes to the section don’t reach this email.

Editing a linked section

Click into a linked section and edit it like any other block. A banner shows how many emails use it, because the edit applies to all of them. If you only meant to change this one email, click Detach this copy. To add, move or remove blocks inside a section, use Open section.

Sent emails never change

When a campaign is scheduled or sent, it keeps its own copy of every linked section. Editing or deleting the section afterwards never changes mail that has already gone out, and the campaign report keeps showing what was sent. Unscheduling a campaign makes it follow its sections again.

Managing sections

Go to Marketing → Saved sections to preview, rename, file into folders, duplicate or delete sections, and to see exactly which emails use each one. Deleting a section never edits an email: drafts that linked it show a placeholder you can remove.
