Notifications: how they're grouped, and muting a record or a flow

Last updated 21 October 2026

Solstral tells you about things in the bell, by email and, if you turned it on, on your phone. You choose which in Settings ▸ Notifications. This page is about what happens when a lot arrives at once.

Several about one thing become one

When notifications of the same kind about the same record (or the same conversation or page) arrive within ten minutes, they become one row in the bell, such as 5 updates on Acme - deal, showing the latest. You get the first email straight away and one more at the end of the ten minutes with the rest, and your phone buzzes once. Once you've opened the bell, the next one starts a new row. Approvals, meeting briefs and notices about your account (billing, deliverability, access reviews) are never grouped: each one arrives on its own.

An hourly limit per kind

If more than 30 notifications of one kind reach you in an hour, the rest of that hour are gathered into one row, such as Texts: 12 more this hour, so the bell stays readable.

Mute a record or a flow

Hover a notification in the bell and choose Mute record to stop hearing about that record, or Mute flow to stop the messages a flow's Notify step sends you. A muted flow still tells you if it breaks, and approvals always reach you. Your muted records and flows are listed in Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ Muted, where you can unmute them. Muting is just for you: nobody else's notifications change.

Daily and weekly summaries

If you get a kind of notification as a daily or weekly summary email, the summary groups it the same way: one line per record, with the latest change.
